Global translation company use Optimise Ondemand for verification purposes

Language Line Services group based out of California, are the largest translation company in the world. They provide telephone interpreting to enable organisations to communicate effectively with everyone, whatever their language.

 

One of their main customer sectors is international police forces, and recent additions to these have been the Metropolitain Police in the Uk and the Irish Gardai. Typically, i a police officer will arrest a foreign speaking person, and at interview stage they would need to involve an interpreter, and language line provide this service. However, when it came to a court hearing, it was quite common to find that the offender would then deny what had been said to them or by them base don the fact that there had been a third party involved.

 

The obvious solution was to record all the calls made to Language Line, and this is where Optimise OnDemand came in to play. Magnetic North supplied Language line with a series of numbers that they have given to their clients. These numbers are controlled via a portal, so they can direct these numbers to terminate wherever they require via the portal. All calls made to this number series are recorded via Magnetic North Optimise OnDemand, and so should the Police or Guardai need evidence of what was said, they have it in the form of call recording, much more cost effective than sending the interpreter to court.
